Hide destination layout initially and show when year on source layout clicked

Hi, Initially 1st layout with Year element link should show up while the 2nd dest. layout is hidden.When Calendar year clicked in 1st layout i like to show 2nd layout for the same year with other columns.

I have this working fine except for both show when I refresh/open/view the report. This is a BEx query

1st layout with Calendar year element link

2nd layout with calendar year 'section'

Any inputs would be appreciated
